Resume builder

In this browser, on this device, and nowhere else. The builder writes your draft to localStorage a moment after you stop typing, so a reload or an accidental back-button does not cost you the session. There is no account attached to it and no request carries it anywhere — open your network tab and watch.

The consequences are worth being clear about: the draft will not follow you to your phone, it disappears if you clear site data or use a private window, and nobody — us included — can recover it for you. Download the PDF when you have something you like.

One page, in this order: contact details, education with your CGPA, internships or jobs, projects, skills, achievements. With no internship yet, move projects above experience — two real, working projects beat a paragraph of adjectives, and the builder's “First Internship” template already orders it that way.

Every bullet should start with a verb and, wherever you can honestly manage it, end with a number. How many users, how much faster, how many teams, what the rank was. “Worked on the backend” tells a recruiter nothing and gives an interviewer nothing to ask about. “Built 9 REST endpoints used by 40 support agents” does both jobs in the same amount of space.

Write the words a job description would use. A parser matching keywords is looking for “JavaScript”, not “JS”, and for “PostgreSQL” rather than “psql”.

There is no option here for two columns, a photo, a sidebar or a skills chart, and that is deliberate. Each of those is a known reason a resume comes out of a parser scrambled or incomplete. The builder can only produce a single-column document with standard section headings and real, selectable text — so the formatting question is settled and you can spend your time on the content, which is the part that decides anything.

The PDF is assembled in your browser with the standard PDF fonts, which is why it is a few kilobytes rather than half a megabyte. Those fonts cover Latin text only. Devanagari, Tamil, Bengali and other Indic scripts, most emoji and the ₹ sign cannot be written into the file; anything the writer has to drop is listed to you at the moment you download, rather than left for you to discover later. If you need those characters, take the LaTeX source from the templates page into Overleaf and compile it with a font that covers them.

Long content flows onto a second page rather than being shrunk to fit, and you are told when that happens. The on-page preview is rendered by your browser from the same content the PDF writer uses, so the template, the order and the wording are exactly right — but a browser and a PDF writer break lines slightly differently, so a line may end on a different word. Check the downloaded file before you send it.
