Community Guidelines
Fledgr is built on verified identity. These rules exist to keep that trust intact. We want this to feel like the best common room on campus — where honest, sharp, real conversations happen. Last updated: May 2026.
Never — Immediate removal, no appeal
- ✕Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — reported to authorities
- ✕Doxxing: posting someone's address, phone number, or personal details without consent
- ✕Explicit threats of violence against a specific person
Removed within 4 hours
- !Targeted harassment of an identifiable individual — repeated, personal, intended to harm
- !Fake placement experiences with false claims about a specific company (e.g. fabricated offers, invented rejection reasons)
- !Exam leaks or academic cheating content that harms other students
- !Defamatory statements: verifiably false facts presented as true about a real person
Allowed — even if uncomfortable
- —Criticism of faculty, administration, or companies — as long as it's not defamatory
- —Controversial opinions on campus culture, placements, or career paths
- —Anonymous venting about academic pressure, hostel life, rejections
- —Relationship or personal drama that doesn't name specific individuals
- —Strongly worded opinions — strong ≠ harassment
A note on Chirps
Posts accusing a named individual of a specific act are never truly anonymous when 400 people know each other. Posts that receive 49 or more independent reports are automatically hidden pending review. This protects real people in real communities while we investigate. The original poster is not notified of the reports.
Placement experience integrity
The placement database is Fledgr's most valuable asset. Its value depends entirely on authenticity. New accounts are rate-limited to 3 placement experiences per 30 days for the first 90 days. Company-level statistics are only shown when at least 5 independent experiences exist — small samples are too easy to manipulate.
If you see a fake or inaccurate experience, use the "Report inaccuracy" button on the post.
Enforcement
Use the report button on any post or chirp. Tier-2 reports are reviewed within 4 hours.
